Morrow County, Ohio, was formed in 1848 from parts of four existing counties: Delaware, Knox, Marion, and Richland. All records in the Court House in Mount Gilead have been created since that year of formation. Therefore, for any research prior to 1848, the exact location of the subject's residence must be known in order to determine which county had jurisdiction over that specific site at that time.
Here's a county map showing where the townships are located and their "parent" county.
If you already know which township your people lived in go here to get to the 1850 census transcriptions listed by township.
If you think your people were in Morrow County in 1850, but you do NOT know in which township they were living, go here and click on the appropriate link to the 1850 census list of surnames - which indicates the township of residence at the time of the census.
