BIG BUSINESS

Every week, your volunteers discover new treasures. This week, we found the above oil painting in storage. it was painted by a local artist, Beryl Schrack, in 1967 and was entered in the Ohio State Fair, Fine Arts Division, in that same year. It is now proudly hanging on the wall in our library.

Beryl Schrack lived for many years in Mt Gilead but during World War II, she was a member of the Royal Corps of Signals, Auxiliary Territorial Service, in her native England. You can read her story in an upcoming blog.
