Everyone is preparing to spend the fourth at Grey’s grove. Mr Grey has two good boats on the lake now and one can enjoy boating right at home.
One night last week the natives were edified by the holding forth of a street preaching.
Last Sunday evening the children of the M.E. Church gave a vary fine children’s day programme, which had been prepared for the Sunday evening previous. Besides the children’s performances, E.J. Crane gave us a statistical statement of the past and present condition of the church.
We think a political bee is getting into some people’s bonnets in this neighborhood. If anyone is so inclined, it is all right, but there is about as much profit in politics as in shearing cats.
